The guarantee covers physical defects or changes that cause an indentation of more than 2 cm in the foam. If during the guarantee period this product is found to be defective because of defects in material or workmanship, it will be replaced free of charge. This limited warranty does not cover conditions resulting from normal wear and tear. Conditions resulting from normal wear and tear include, but are not limited to: compression of foam, or discoloration of foam or fabric. The supplied cover must protect this product. Use without this cover, misuse or abuse of the product voids the warranty. Defective products must be returned prepaid, along with a copy of the invoice.

Reliever Products makes no other warranties, either express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. In no event will Reliever Products be held liable for incidental or consequential damages of any kind, whether such damages are claimed on account of breach of warranty, breach of contract, negligence or strict product liability, including without limitations, damages to property or other economic losses. This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have other rights, which vary from country to country.

THE RELIEVER MATERIAL
RELIEVER is a temperature sensitive visco-elastic material with an open cell structure. These properties together create a unique, pressure relieving material that provides optimal comfort. The material’s visco elastic properties mean that RELIEVER regains its original shape after compression with certain built-in delay. This delay depends on the temperature. Therefore, RELIEVER feels softer, at higher temperatures. RELIEVER reacts to the thermal impact of the body and therefore adapts to the shape of the body, even in cool conditions. Where the body presses against the material RELIEVER reacts by distributing the pressure evenly over the entire area of use. RELIEVER’s pressure relieving properties also reduce the risk of developing pressure sores.

It can take some time for the body to get used to the RELIEVER material, due to the unique pressure relieving properties. The mattress cells will become fully open after been used for a while, which results in the RELIEVER materials reacting more quickly. It may therefore feel as if the material is getting softer. However, the pressure relieving properties remain the same and comfort will be improved. RELIEVER has a high density of 87 kg/m³, which ensures maximum dimensional stability and comfort.

CARE AND USE OF THE RELIEVER MATERIAL
The material cannot be machine washed or immersed (soaked) in water as this may damage the properties of the material. If there is a risk of the RELIEVER products coming into contact with liquid (for example incontinence) you must order a waterproof cover to protect your RELIEVER product. With an incontinece cover, liquid cannot pass through it but still allows the material to breath. Spilled liquids should be soak up immediately from the RELIEVER material. Spot wash with a damp cloth and mild soap and water. Let the material air-dry!

HOW TO TRANSPORT OR STORE THE PRODUCTS
The material must not be folded or forced into shape, as there is a risk of the material tearing. During transportation due to the high density of the RELIEVER material, the mattress may compress in size. This is normal and it will return to its normal size at room temperature, placed on the bed base.

- RELIEVER Combi Mattress must be stored flat and be placed on a ventilated bed base such as a spring base, divan base or slats. This will avoid the accumulation of moisture in the mattress.

- RELIEVER Topper mattress can either be rolled up or be stored flat.

- RELIEVER Pillows and Supports should preferable be stored in their original shape. The travel pillow may be transported rolled up in the bag supplied but only for a while to avoid permanent deformation of the pillow.

CARE AND USE OF THE RELIEVER COVERS
None of the RELIEVER covers reduces the material’s comfort and pressure relieving properties. All the covers can be removed and washed in accordance with the washing instructions. These instructions can be found on the sewn in label inside the cover.

The textiles used for covers on pillows, supports and mattresses are produced in such way that regular washing prevents the growth of house dust mites and fungus. Follow the washing instructions sewn into the cover. During washing the cover must be turned inside out and zip must be closed. The washing instructions also specify the materials in the cover.

The RELIEVER products are treated so that bacterial and fungal growth is reduced as much as possible. However, regular ventilation is recommended to avoid moisture in the RELIEVER product.

The RELIEVER Combi Mattress and Seat cushion (Wheelchair Cushion) have an anti-slip cover on the lower side. This cover ensures that the product stays in place when it is used. Washing does not reduce the properties of the anti-slip material.

FIRE
The composition of the RELIEVER material reduces the risk of fire. The RELIEVER products fulfil the flammability standards laid down by the Medical Devices Directive. The RELIEVER hospital mattresses complies with BS 7177-1996 (medium hazard), which following tests are executed: BS EN 597-1 (cigarette test), BS EN 597-2 (match flame equivalent) and BS 6807 Section 2 (ignition source 5). The RELIEVER domestic mattresses complies with BS EN 597-1 (cigarette test). Although the cover on the RELIEVER mattress is cigarette resistant we do not recommend that you smoke in bed.

CE-MARKING
The RELIEVER products are CE-marked as a Medical Device (class 1), which means that the properties of the products meet the requirements described in Directive 93/42/EEC.

MATERIAL TEST
The RELIEVER products are tested for harmful substances and are approved and safe for use.

GENERAL USE NOTES
This product works best when used at a room temperature of 70°F or 21°C. Avoid temperature extremes. This product may exhibit a slight odour when first used. This is normal and will fade as the product is exposed to fresh air.

CAUTIONS
Do not smoke in bed. Do not let children or pets play with the incontinence cover, plastic bags or cardboard boxes as there are a risk of suffocation. Keep away children and pets from eating the foam material.
